where in ontario is there a town with Giant anchors, and a cruise boat loading dock?
I remember going camping with my family when I was about 11 which would make it 15 years ago. This town that I thought someone told me was Tobermory Ontario, had a lot of wooden fencing a few 6 foot tall anchors. and My cousins that were camping as well had boarded a cruise boat. anyone know of or live in this town?
Reason being is that I discussed this memory with my father and he said we never went to a town like that.
well I dont to this day know the difference betwen a Cruise and a Ferry boat. they both Ferry and both go for a cruise. and both can carry over 1000 people.
and none of those pictures look like the place I remember. the town its self had a lot of Wood, the Anchors were just inside the shopping district of the town next to some park benches. and I do remember the Ferry. oh well thanks guys.
Well, there are no cruise Ships in Tobermory, technically.
There is the Chi-Cheemaun, which is the ferry that crosses between Tobermory and South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island.
I’ve been there several times and don’t recall the ‘giant anchors’ that you are referring to.
